Boehly Center Staff Alumni

The Boehly Center would like to recognize the former members of our staff. They served in crucial roles in the planning and administration of the Center and their impact has contributed to its success today.

Associate Director for Academic Engagement
January 2014 – February 2020

Dr. Rita Murphy served as Associate Director of the Boehly Center from its launch in January 2014 through February 2020. Alongside inaugural Director Professor Julie Agnew, Rita helped administer several successful initiatives, including the summer study abroad program in Singapore, the annual Women’s Leadership Summit and Stock Pitch Competition, the Finance Academy-sponsored Carlyle Case Competition, and several practitioner-led courses, including Hedge Fund Management, Applied Financial Concepts, and Risk Management. Rita oversaw the Alumni Mentor Match Program and other alumni initiatives, and collaborated with Mason’s Alumni Engagement team to host an annual networking night in New York. As co-Advisor of the Finance Academy, she coordinated and executed their signature event, From DoG Street to Wall Street, each Fall. She managed the Center’s Officers’ Council, organizing annual meetings for this group in New York each year. During her tenure, the Center team expanded to include an Administrative Coordinator and an Associate Director for Strategic Engagement, allowing her to focus her role on Academic Engagement. Rita retired from the Center in February of 2020.


Business Analytics Data Science Major, Mathematics Minor
Fall 2017 – Spring 2019

Alana graduated from William & Mary in 2019 with a major in Business Analytics Data Science with a concentration in Marketing and minor in Mathematics. She started interning with the Boehly Center in Fall of 2017, and helped update the website and put on events such as From DoG St to Wall St. During her time at William & Mary she served as the Fundraising chair of Alpha Kappa Psi as well as the Vice President of Programming of a social sorority. For two summers Alana was a Finance intern at Lendlease in New York City, and  during the Spring 2018 semester, she studied abroad at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. She is now working as a Data Analyst at VidMob in New York City.

Finance Major, Music Minor
Spring 2016 – Spring 2018

Sabrina graduated from William & Mary in 2018 as a Finance major and Music minor. She interned for the Boehly Center from Spring 2016 through Spring 2018. She served as co-president of Women in Business, as a senior research analyst in Smart Women Securities, and as a peer mentor with the Finance Academy. Outside of the business school, she enjoyed singing with her a cappella group, the Intonations. She was a corporate finance intern at Harris Corporation during her sophomore summer. During her junior summer she interned at Ernst & Young within their Business Advisory Program and is working there full-time now that she has graduated.

Fall 2016 – Spring 2018

Genevieve is currently a Technology Analyst with Accenture Federal Services and is based in the DC area. During her time at William & Mary, Genevieve double-majored in Finance and Hispanic Studies, with a concentration in Consulting. She was an active member in a number of student organizations, including Smart Woman Securities, Alpha Kappa Psi, and her social sorority. She is passionate about financial literacy and expanding personal finance education.

Fall 2014 – present

Julia was one of the Boehly Center’s first interns, starting in September 2014 at the start of her sophomore year. At William & Mary, Julia served as the VP of Marketing of Women in Business club, the VP of Finance of her social sorority and the president of the Celtic Irish Dance club. Julia spent the fall of 2015 abroad at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in Vienna, Austria. In the summer of 2016, Julia interned for Alix Partners in Washington, D.C., and joined them full time in 2017 upon graduation. She has also previously worked in global services in White Plains, NY.

Katie began interning at the Boehly Center in the fall of 2016. During the summer of 2015, Katie participated in the Social Entrepreneurship Program in the Dominican Republic. Upon returning to campus that fall, she enrolled in the Distinguish Financial Management course and the Deloitte National Fantaxtic Team. Katie served on the executive board for both Women in Business and her social sorority. Katie completed accounting externships during the summer of 2016 and spent the second half of summer studying abroad in Galway, Ireland. She interned at EY in Washington, D.C. in the summer of 2017. Katie completed her undergraduate major in three years, and graduated from the Master of Accounting program in 2018. She joined PwC as a CMAAS Associate following graduation.

Fall 2015 – Spring 2016

Christina transferred to William & Mary in the fall of 2014 after receiving her Associate of Science degree from Northern Virginia Community College. She was a VP of the Howard J. Busbee Finance Academy and the Assistant VP of Communications of Women in Business. Christina interned at PwC in their Financial Instruments, Structured Products and Real Estate group in D.C. in the summer of 2015.  Following graduation, Christina earned her CPA certification, and is now a Senior Sales Associate at Capital One.

Spring 2016

Caitlin became an intern for the Boehly Center in the spring of 2016 after completing her term as the CEO of Smart Woman Securities, an organization dedicated to educating undergraduate women of all majors in finance and investing she helped bring to William & Mary. She was instrumental in the creation of the inaugural Women’s Stock Pitch and Leadership Summit. She has previously interned with a private wealth management firm outside of Washington, D.C. Caitlin joined Ernst & Young as a Staff 1 analyst with their Business Advisory Program in the FSO practice during the winter of 2016 – 17.

Fall 2014 – Fall 2015

Mary interned for the Boehly Center from the fall of 2014 through her graduation in December 2015. On campus, Mary was president of her social sorority, VP of Membership for Alpha Kappa Psi and a member of the Honor and Conduct Appeals Panel. Mary joined KCIC Consulting full-time beginning in the fall of 2016. She previously interned with the marketing department of Acelity, a global medical technology company, in the summer of 2015. Before that, she interned in government and politics in D.C. and in Austin, TX.
